Spryker Cloud Platform Catalog

Spryker Systems GmbH – March 2025

Introduction

Spryker's PaaS+ enables Spryker customers to develop, run and manage their Spryker application. To achieve this, Spryker has built and incorporated multiple features that allow organizations to benefit from Spryker's inherent agility, security, and flexibility.

The Spryker Cloud Platform Catalog offers an overview of these features, along with details of each, to demonstrate how Spryker Cloud Commerce OS can help your business thrive.

Features

Deployment Pipelines
Provides automated continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) for your Spryker containerized solutions using AWS Dev Tools, such as CodePipeline and CodeBuild, ensuring efficient and reliable application delivery.
Setting up a Custom Domain
Enables domain name management and DNS hosting within the Spryker Cloud. Zone delegation is permitted in non-production environments but is generally avoided for production setups.
Management of Environment Variables and Secrets
Provides a self-service method for adding or changing runtime environment variables and secrets. Changes take effect on the next deployment.
Maintanance Mode
Allows you to switch your platform fully to maintenance mode without requiring Spryker Support. This enables controlled downtime for system updates, code deployments, or beta testing while restricting user access.
Managed Security Operations Center (SOC) for Spryker Cloud
Mitigates the risk of cyber threats, reducing the possibility of financial losses, reputational damage, and loss of customer trust.

The Managed Security Operations Center (SOC) for Spryker Cloud offers a centralized team of security experts who are dedicated to monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents. This dedicated SOC Team, available 24/7, are able to promptly react when something malicious is found in your infrastructure and application logs.

In addition, data remains inside Spryker’s infrastructure, meaning nothing is shared with any third parties.

By implementing a Managed SOC for Spryker Cloud, your organization can focus on core business operations while security professionals manage your security risks.

The Managed Security Operations Center (SOC) is an additional product to Spryker’s Cloud Infrastructure offering. Please speak to your contact at Spryker if you are interested in including this feature on your platform.
Custom SSL Certificate
Enables your tech team to create a custom SSL certificate, allowing them to safely deliver content using a customer domain and a bepoke SSL.Custom certificates are either provided and managed by the Certificate Manager embedded in Spryker Cloud Infrastructure or your team can use the Bring Your Own Certificate (BYOC) service, allowing upload of your company’s private key & certificate for any of your custom domains. This allows your company to obtain your SSL certificates from other certificate authorities and use them on the Spryker Cloud Infrastructure.
Integration with New Relic Application Performance Monitoring
Application Performance Monitoring (APM) allows you to troubleshoot and improve the performances of your application with traces.

Spryker Cloud Infrastructure, via native New Relic APM integration, enables businesses to monitor key metrics and traces in real time, assisting visibility into application performance and health.

Integration with New Relic Application Performance Monitoring is not part of Spryker’s base offering and is an optional additional feature.
Service Scalability
Spryker Cloud Infrastructure leverages AWS Container Services to facilitate the deployment, management, and scaling of containerized applications in the cloud. Spryker maintains full control over scaling policies, enabling automatic adjustments to the number of container instances based on demand, while AWS fully manages the underlying infrastructure.

This capability is available exclusively for Production Environments and is limited to the horizontal scaling of services.
Multiplatform Support
Spryker’s Docker SDK provides a convenient and configurable Docker-based environment for local development of Spryker projects.
Debugging and Testing Mode Support
Gain two important benefits through Spryker Docker SDK:
  • Debugging support through X-debug. This facilitates the debugging process during local development.
  • Support for testing using Webdriver and Codeception. This allows developers to automate and execute tests for Spryker projects within the local development environment and the ability to include them in the CI.
